When Beauty Has Its Own Class

Beauty- Honestly, what first came up to your mind, when the word is said?

Someone might straight away think about the top models with the long legs, sexy eyes, or the Hollywood or even Bollywood superstars with those branded dresses. One might perceive beauty as any object or nature -untouched island or the black shiny Cayman S Porsche. It might also be an animal, a horse maybe? Or some might reflect this word to their own girlfriends. Few will lost their imaginations to porn stars..oho..lets not get to that, okey?

Whatever it is, one idiom that I never can't deny, is this;

"Beauty is in the eye of beholder"

Enough said. Whatever or whoever that you think is beautiful might not be the one I agree with. Vice versa. Even if I ever try to convince you that little frogs are pretty creatures, most of you will never agree with me. Right? So there you go, different people with different opinions. Even the fools will give a nod to that.

Let's get into what I think of the word beauty.

For human beings, it doesn't matter, a man or woman, I will see a person's beauty through their confidence. It really is a broad term isn't it? To make it simple, it is the way a person handles her/himself. Their body gestures, the way of they talk, their eye contact, how they carry and take care of themselves. So, it's not always about the two inches make-up that a person wore or the Coach bag they carry or the Armani suit they got. No matter what you wear, if your confidence shows, your beauty will show.

But of course, the confidence is not the only thing you needed to be beautiful. The beauty will straight away shine if it truly comes from the heart. A good heart that is. Good deeds, loving and respectable characteristics, permanent pleasant smile, being decent and polite etc..all the good words I may add. No one will match the word beauty to a person with a stuck up nose, talk nonsensically without thinking about others, unfriendly and always think that the world is theirs and theirs only. Because, really, a good heart can be seen through the look on the outside.

It is not fair, how beauty is perceived in the world today. For a woman to be thought as beautiful, she needs to have at least these characteristics; big shiny eyes, broad forehead, a nice pointed nose, pouty lips, clear, fair and flawless skin- those are only for the face. What about the body? If is still not that obvious, only those skinny women are now said to be beautiful. Not all people, were born to have these characteristics. Hence, most women with thick pockets (or their husband's) often want to change God's creation by offensive surgery with one goal in mind- to look beautiful. They bear the aftermath pain because they couldn't bear the word ugly. Who is to decide that you are ugly, by the way? There is never a measure of beauty ever created. Is there any electronic ruler to poke at your face, and it suddenly rate 1-10 whether you're at lowest 0 as ugly and at rate 10 which is beautiful? Not that I've ever heard of! Even the thought of it sounds ridiculous. Don't you think so?

Enough about the definition I guess. Back to the real motive that I have in my mind when I decided to write about this topic. Beauty, whatever you want it to perceive, is scope that often people want to put set aside. But as for today, without us realizing, it has become a broad spectrum and it can even become an industry. Beauty industry, what a name! heh. Look at the magazines, newspapers, internet, photography, cosmetics..all those have one thing in common, they always have beauty as a middle name. Beauty also need to be learned that is why they have beauty classes if you haven't realized yet.

Yes, a beauty class...which I have enrolled in. *blush*

Laugh as hard as you like, but I wouldn't deny it. I believe that everything in this world has to be learned...even to look nice. The whole idea to get into this didn't come abruptly although the enrolling part was a bit spontaneous. I have grabbed the opportunity to learn this when I first heard about it and since I still have some free time. For some of you who never heard of this kind of class, this is where you learn specific techniques to do facial, face massage, make-ups, manicure, pedicure, spa and body massage. The classes run every working day from 9- 4pm. Students here are trained to become beautician and after 3-6months of training, they will be able to open up a saloon or a spa.

The main reason why I was called to take up the lesson by of course, to learn the techniques. I believe that every woman needs to be able to take care of themselves. Undeniably, every woman wants to look pretty, but as I said earlier, pretty doesn't come from just your look but from inside, that is your confidence. This is one way, how women can learn to take care of themselves. I also believe that the confidence appear after you have taken measures to care about how you look and carry yourself. Most of us don't want to ignore how you present yourself in public because the first impression always count, wherever you're at. Thus, these knowledge can help us to reform ourselves towards a better one, pursue whatever in life, with the confidence to start with.

Another lesson I've learned in this industry is that you have to be thankful of whatever you have. Cosmetic surgery isn't the answer. Just one thing to bare in mind, that pretty look on your face is never yours, it is just a gift from God, and anytime He can take away from you, even just in a split second. Be thankful to Him, everytime you pray, and everytime you look in the mirror. Never in your heart there is a proud feeling of what you have because it is not what you have, but one thing you borrow. Just remember one day, you will be returned to Him. Let this be the lesson for you and me :)
